We are back, after a rough year

Hi, I’m Johanna (the publisher). Cicada Song Press has been around for two and a half years now. We started it in May 2024.

However, things slowed way down for a while there. I live with depression. Sometimes the only thing I can do is live with it. That’s what happened between Dec. 2025 and now. I was dealing with a deep depression. Then I was seeking new treatments and healing from it. I wrote about it on my personal blog, Quiet Cat Party.

I am good now and things are rolling again. I’m reaching out to those particularly affected now. We have two novellas and one book of poetry in the works. And we will be reading for new novellas and books of poetry this year.

The book Reality Detonates got caught up in all that. First we lost an editor and got a new one. Then I was working at a snail’s pace.
